Spice the Winter Up with Sequence

Sequence has made a huge statement for this season. From sequence tops, to skirts, to dresses, and even leggings; Sequence pieces are a must have! The great thing about the sequence look is that you can dress it up or down. You can find form fitting pieces or some with more of a loose feel to them. &&DON'T FORGET THE COLORS. You can find sequence in every color. If your afraid to jump right in with a sequence dress like the one shown to the left (french connection) then start with a top with sequence on the sleeves and a nice skinny jean or form fitting skirt to pull the look together. If your looking to dress it up, go all the way with a full on sequence dress in a color that pops on you and the perfect shoe (flats or heels.) Sequence can be for anyone and pull any look together. I know you've seen the items around so don't be afraid to pick up a sequence piece the next time your out. Spice up your holidays with a little sequence.

Fierce Fall Fashion

After lots of searching, I final found the fall fashions I think will be a hit this season; platform pumps, razzle-dazzle legs, winter shorts, and clunky-choker. These trends are fabulous and fierce but also lean towards the fearless fashionistas and being fearless in fashion should always be the goal. When dressing for fall be mindful that covering up does not mean you have to hide your shape, form fitting is always exceptable. In the fall the fashion colors become darker but to keep it bright add lots of cool accessories. Do not be afraid to take chances during the fall season; BE BOLD. Everyone tends to fall into the same fashion pattern as the cold weather comes but instead use the fall/winter season to better express your creativity. As the weathers gets cool-the fashion gets hot!

The Girl Behind The Blog

I started this blog to work on my writing skills on a subject I know and love. After a lot of thought about my future I've decided that I definitely want a career in the fashion industry. I am passionate about both fashion and writing; and that's when it hit me- Editor-in-Chief of a fashion magazine! I wish to attend University of Southern California as a Journalism Major(magazine editing) and a minor in Public Relations. I am excited to see what the future holds. I am currently Editor-In-Chief of my high school newspaper and I'm working on several other things to bring me closer to my dreams. I love fashion and I intend on living this dream out all the way; look out fashion industry-Brittney Winbush is on her way! If you ever have any questions on fashion or just life-don't be afraid to ask...especially fashion [I can be your little stylist :)]. Hope you enjoy my blog, please leave comments.

They'rrrrrrrrre Baaaack !

The City is Back! I'm so excited. Though the city is full of drama, tears, and laughs more than anything...It's Full of Fashion! From inside information in the fashion industry that most of the cast works in-to the clothes they wear day to day. The City is a great place to get fashion inspiration and with Whitney Port being the leader of this back nothing can go wrong....or can it?

One-Shoulder Trend is In!

My Idol

Chanel Iman is my all time idol. She truly embodies the characteristics of a supermodel while also being a role model. 18 year old Atlanta Native Chanel Iman was one of the youngest people to appear on the cover of Vogue. She's also made several appearences in Teen Vogue not to mention the several times she's been seen rocking the runway from Dolce and Gabanna to Vera Wang, Chanel has definitely put her mark in the industry. Chanel says she is also interested in design, "I want to do different things in my life, not just modeling. I would love to design for a big fashion house, like Pharrell did for Louis Vuitton. Stop giving all the opportunities to celebrities! I'm in the fashion industry, I have some great ideas, and I'd like to share them." Chanel has caught the eye of many influentials in the industry one being Tyra Banks who on her show gave Chanel a matching necklace stating that she was a piece to the puzzle opening up the modeling industry for more African-Americans. Chanel is one to know and love, she carries her fashion sense right from the runway into the street. I believe Chanels here to stay!

The Hippie Movement

Peace Love && Fashion is what comes to mind when i think of the movement of hippie fashion becoming the biggest trend of 2009. The definition of a hippie is one who opposes and rejects many of the conventional standards and customs of society, especially one who advocates extreme liberalism in sociopolitical attitudes and lifestyles, and this is what this fashion trend does! The Hippie trend is laid back and very comfortable. With over sized T's, braided hair pieces, and moccasins. This is defiantly a style that embodies true fashion with a great deal of comfortably.

The Jean Dress

The Jean Dress is said to be the it fall fashion piece. Jean did go out of style for some time but now it's back and it's bad! Try the Jean Dress
out, form fitting jean dresses can be worked with a nice blazer, a leather jacket, and the right amount of accessories! With the different sizes be sure to find one befitting of your body type. Try funcky accessories to spice it up, the lighter colors go well with golds and earth tones, and the darker ones look fab with silver and bold colors. Try It Out.
